The fundamentals of sexual health module 1: Sex and the Law
This training is run by The Eddystone Trust
Would you like to have more effective sexual health conversations with the people who use your services? We have two sessions on the fundamentals of sexual health, to support you to do this.
Primarily targeted at those working with young people our content is also suitable for those working with adults.
In this module we will be discussing the laws in relation to sex, including exploring consent, and how the digital world and pornography can influence people's decisions and sexual behaviour.
The fundamentals of sexual health module 2: Lets talk sexual health

A session looking at making sex less taboo and easier to talk about. We are talking about sexual health! Not just sperms and germs, this module explores why people have sex, why they might not use contraception and might not have access to testing.
LARC (long acting reversible contraception) training
Devon Sexual Health offers training to fit contraceptive implants and coils at our clinics, accredited by the College for Sexual and Reproductive Health (CoSRH).
Devon Sexual Health offers the practical element of the training free to Primary Care professionals who work locally in Devon (excluding Plymouth).

Thrive training
This training is run by The Eddystone Trust
Open to all services in Devon and Torbay THRIVE training sessions will focus on HIV awareness and what the current landscape looks like for people living with HIV. These sessions are essential for anyone who works in health and social care because we explore the stigma face by people living with HIV that often go unnoticed. This training session is ideal for services who want to ensure that they are HIV inclusive.
Contraception training for local pharmacists. Part one (online)

Devon Sexual Health offers training for pharmacists (including locums) and pharmacy technicians in Devon. The training covers:
• Talking to young people and safeguarding
• Emergency hormonal contraception
• Progesterone-only oral contraception
• Combined oral contraception
This is part one of the full training. Part two consists of a face to face session at rotating clinic locations. Our next event is in October, please see the training calendar for details.
Contraception Training for Local Pharmacists. Part two (clinic location)
This is part two of the contraception training and it will take place at rotating clinic locations. The October location is Exeter Sexual Health clinic, 31 Sidwell Street, Exeter, EX4 6NN
The training includes:
o Clinic tour
o Long-acting reversible contraception (LARC)
o Consultation skills including young people and safeguarding
o Discussion of local referral pathways
