Bank holiday opening information

posted by: Susan Mills

All Devon Sexual Health clinics are closed on bank holidays.

When our clinics are closed, Emergency contraception (the morning-after-pill) is also often available free of charge from Walk-in centres, Minor Injury Units and some pharmacies – click here to find your local provider. We would recommend if you are planning to go to a pharmacy for emergency contraception, that you call first to check there is a pharmacist on duty who is able to supply this medication.

If you think you have been exposed to HIV in the last 72 hours and require emergency PEP medication, this is available from all major A&E hospital departments when sexual health clinic are closed. Details about PEP and where to access locally are here.

Our telephone triage system will be operating again after the bank holidays, but please note that this is likely to be BUSY and so if your enquiry is non-urgent, it may be best to wait to contact us.
You can also book appointments for clinics online. Click here for more information.
